3 Special Ways to Enjoy Hickory Nut Gap Farm

1. PICK YOUR OWN APPLES AND BERRIES

From June to October, Hickory Nut Gap Farm is a wonderful place to pick seasonal fruits like apples, blueberries, and raspberries! You can also purchase freshly grown fruit and produce at the farm’s stand. Even better, the farm sells more than just locally grown produce. Their store features a line of products from Asheville area companies including sourwood honey and crafts, like homemade lotions and soaps!

Before you hit the road for the trip home, remember to stop by fort the best meat or produce in the area. Remember to pack a cooler with ice before your trip! Here, you can purchase 100% grass-fed beef, pastured pork, and poultry, all raised on the farm. It is the ideal choice for stocking your freezer or cooking tonight’s dinner.

2. ENJOY A FARM-TO-TABLE MEAL

Of course, you can always visit the farm and sit down for a delicious meal! You can enjoy lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday through Saturday. The lunch menu features Southern classics like pimento cheese and crackers and barbecue pulled pork. Hickory Nut Gap Farm also features an amazing Sunday brunch menu! On Sundays, the egg, cheese, and apple butter biscuit is one of our favorite things to order! No matter when you stop by, your taste buds will thank you.

3. CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES. ESPECIALLY DURING FALL!

Hickory Nut Gap Farm hosts a variety of fun festivities throughout the year! In the fall, you can look forward to corn mazes, picking out your own pumpkin, and farm scavenger hunts with prizes. During the summer, you can also find a variety of kid-friendly activities, like horseback riding, arts, and crafts. Although the events change with the seasons, one thing that remains consistent is that education is an important aspect of Hickory Nut Gap Farm. Both workshops and culinary classes are available throughout the year. For a full list of farm events, check out the Hickory Nut Gap Farm website.
